… for a new engine for the Schlacro

Hello everyone,
I like to spend my free time at the Gliding Center Königsdorf and support the 6 clubs with help and advice.
By now, many people know that I am very fond of the Akaflieg München there.
There I can get on the nerves of the students and the old men and women quite uninhibitedly….

Due to the Safety Publication US-2024-21-02 Reciprocating Engine - Connecting Rod Bushing - Inspections / Replacement
the engine was removed from the Schlacro and taken to the Shipyard for inspection.

a crack in the crankshaft

The crankshaft bearing no longer looks so good either

and additional damage to several pistons

… you could have guessed the damage back in November:

Unfortunately, the funding in 2024 for the support of the association has been greatly reduced.
I quote:
